i was hired to design a logo, and subsequently adverts, banners etc for the fashion pitch, a wonderful effort by mycreative ventures and fashion valet to help aspiring local fashion designers fund their businesses. they are looking at giving out loans worth up to 2 million ringgit per designer! and upon they analysis, they might even decide to invest instead of lend...seriously guys...go for this!
mycreative ventures is a government investment arm set up to spur the country's creative industry via strategic and innovative funding in a form of equity or debt investments. fashion valet on the other hand is the country's first online fashion store with a soft spot for supporting budding local talents.
shortlisted candidates will be invited to pitch their dazzling ideas to a panel of esteemed judges sometime in july 2013. while the idea is to give loans to their company, they are in the midst of searching for a good story and well conveyed message as well. no formal knowledge in designing is necessary to join, just a enticing story and a major passion for fashion!
