3sixty5

a year ago, i married an amazing man who has been my delicious partner-in-crime since the moment we met. every day since then has been a filled with small surprises and laugh-out-loud moments. i thank my lucky stars twice daily for my incredible blessings not only for having met and married my man, but also for the fabulous family we are a part of.

the glorious morning started up with my man's usual cuppa, and much to everyone's surprise we were greeted with a smile from our krups machine...we've tried again and again but never managed to get a smile again since ;)

the garden affair was created with a great many personal touches. little notes and sonnets my man gave me during the course of our relationship became the centerpiece of the setting

whilst old glass jars were wrapped with lace, ribbons and trimmings to add grace and elegance

buckets of flowers were laid simply around the garden, topped with white paper lanterns

i used my drawings and illustrations as part of the deco

these hand painted mugs were used as flower holders at the dessert table decorated with hand made cake stands painted in grey and peachy-pink and lots of mirrors

each table had a slightly different centerpiece accompanied my 5 variations of custom designed placemats and thank you cards.

this particular note is one i hold dearest to my heart...i found it stashed in my little black beaded coin purse at heathrow airport as i was about to depart and leave my man after almost 3 months together in london and the south of france. we werent too sure then how long we were going to have to be apart; it was one of the saddest moments of my life. but alas, the stars somehow aligned and we were back together within a fortnight and have never since been apart ;D

as a token of our appreciation, guests were given a hand painted wooden box of the finest sri lankan flavored tea topped with pastel gross grain ribbons and custom golden sachets filled with nougats and baklavas, complementing the delicious middle eastern menu

in the evening, guests were serenaded with bach by a professional 6 piece mini orchestra...how lucky we are ;)

and i decorated our deliciously decadent 2-tier wedding cake which everyone got to enjoy

and we all danced and sang the night away...
